Founder Story 📚:

Meet Sidney Collin, CEO, and co-founder of De Oro Devices and NexStride,  a small, portable device that uses research-backed visual and auditory cues to help people with mobility disorders walk safely and confidently anywhere.

“I have a background in biomedical engineering and neuroscience. When I was in school, I met a local veteran named Jack Brill, who had a mobility symptom of Parkinson's called "freezing of gait" and needed a device to help him walk. After 3 months, I had a working prototype that he could use. It completely changed the way he and his wife, Sandy, could live their lives, bringing him more independence and Sandy more time for herself. We realized there were many more people who needed this device, so we raised some money and got it out to market. We are now selling in 7 countries, in 100 PT clinics, and in over a thousand homes in the US, helping people stay mobile and independent.”

If Sidney’s story resonates with you and you’d like to stay in touch, you can reach out to Sidney here.
